My first tattoo! The om symbol, written in Sanskrit, has an amazing meaning. It represents the 4 divine states of the universe: Metta (loving kindness), Karuna (compassion), Mudita (sympathetic joy) and Upekkha (equanimity). Each part of the symbol stands for a different state of consciousness, and represents being fully aware of yourself and everything around you and keeping an infinitely open mind. This girl has so many badly done tattoos that she thinks are really good, but the lines are so wobbly, especially on the word lamp. it took me and a friend ages to work out that the random shape is meant to be a brick, because of the anchorman character, because its a bloody deep/deformed brick, it looks like a bathtub.
